Hello,
I would like to know how to remove two sections in a Word document (that I downloaded to write my thesis, so it's pre-formatted). The footers do not follow the logical order because of the two sections. So I find myself with two different "counts"...
Thank you for your help!

Hello Eva,
to make the page numbering continuous, double-click in the footer of the last section (last page if I understand correctly), then go to the "Insert" tab, "Page Number," "Page Number Format," and check "Continue from the previous section."

Hello!!! Even though this post is from 2015, I want to say a big thank you because I spent over 3 hours on my thesis trying to figure out how to merge two sections and you saved my life (really, I have to submit it in 1 hour). Thank you thank you thank you. I hope your life is cool.

I hope you didn't make as many spelling mistakes in your thesis as in this message!
