Good evening
I have a laptop from Asus equipped with 2 graphics cards
I recently bought the game ARK Survival Evolved and to run it I need to launch it with my GeForce GTX 850 graphics card, but when I try to select it, I get an error message that says "Access denied, unable to apply the selected settings to your system."
I have already tried disabling my integrated graphics card so that my laptop only reads the GeForce, but when I do that and try to go into the NVIDIA control panel, it tells me that no graphics card is connected to this screen.
HELP

Hello,
one of the techniques is to go to the NVIDIA Control Panel by typing it in the search field of the start menu or in the notification area at the bottom right of the screen and clicking on the Nvidia icon. (If it's not there, you need to install the Nvidia drivers by downloading them from the official Nvidia website)
So in the left window, choose Manage 3D settings.
Then in the right window, click on the Program settings tab.
If Ark doesn't appear in the list of programs, click on add and go to the executable that launches the game.
In box 2, choose Nvidia high-performance processor.
And there you go, the Nvidia GPU will be the one used by default when launching the game.

Otherwise, try reinstalling the drivers in that case, making sure to uninstall them properly.
Apparently, this is a problem that occurs quite often with Ark, and since the game is in early access, I think it likely comes from their side.
