[Speakers] Very low sound on the left side

Hello everyone,
for some time now, the sound from my speakers has been very poor. Sometimes I can barely hear anything even though the volume is at maximum; sometimes it crackles... So I bought new speakers thinking the old ones were too old...
Now I have new speakers since yesterday, but I still have a problem! It no longer crackles and I can hear the sound quite loudly, the catch is that it only comes out of the right side! I went into the SoundMax settings to check that it wasn't a balance issue... Everything is OK, it should come out of both sides, yet that's not the case! When I switch all the sound to the left speaker, I only hear a faint murmur...
I tried to update SoundMax through the device manager, but I get a message saying that no better software than what is currently installed on my computer was found...
What should I do? Thank you for your help.
