Hello,

I want to buy active speakers and I'm hesitating between Alto and Mackie. Which one is more reliable? Thank you.

    Hello,

I have a slight preference for Alto, but some references from Mackie seem pretty good at first glance.
The two brands are close to each other.
It's still "entry" level. Even though there are a few decent models.

    See you later

Well, the Mackies are the Thumps at 500 W RMS
now let's see if they really deliver the 500 W.

If we compare the Thumps12 and the Alto TS112A, they are very similar.
Perhaps a slight edge for the Mackie, as it is more powerful. (Although power isn’t everything, sensitivity and efficiency matter)
And precisely, that’s where it would be interesting to listen to both models for comparison.

Well, I'm going to take the Mackies because I have a distributor here who also matches the prices online.

well, I find that they have a good sound, very good mids and highs that are not aggressive, finally
afterwards, you need a subwoofer to really bring them out, because I find a slight lack of bass due to the 12-inch speakers, but I am not disappointed
      purchased for 299 euros each.

      For bass, everything is relative.
Because everyone perceives sound in a personal way.
To add a subwoofer means you have a certain number of people at your party, or that you're playing music with a need for bass.
And it also depends on the size of the room to be soundproofed.
