VLC Visualizations with ProjectM (Milkdrop)

Hello everyone!

I’m addressing all the Milkdrop fans, published by ProjectM, which is a really great visualization "soft" and easily available on Winamp.
Downloadable here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/projectm/files/

However, I'm trying to run it on VLC. So I've downloaded the necessary file to implement it in VLC after browsing quite a few forums in English. But I'm not sure that this is the right link to run it on VLC.

Indeed, on VLC they call it LibprojectM, so I managed to find the file here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/projectm/files/libprojectM/

Once again, it doesn't work. I set the audio output to DirectX, and also in the visualization settings. When I save all my preferences, in the "visualizations" tab, it never shows "LibprojectM".

Can you help me? I also suspect that I'm not pointing to the right folder for the visualization... In short, I've searched a lot, and I'm lost, I can't find any information in French... Thanks in advance!

Oups, I neglected a help forum that I should have checked from the start... The VLC one! Sorry.

I have the latest version of VLC (2.2.1) and it turns out they removed this access. A patch is expected to fix the issue. Now, all that's left is to find an old version of VLC.

By the way, I highly recommend trying Milkdrop, those programmers are geniuses.
