Hello,

I recently acquired the game The Witcher 3.
The problem: I can't fully enjoy it because the gaming experience is ruined by constant FPS drops, making it almost unplayable.

However, I have a configuration that should be adequate:

Graphics card: AMD R9 280 3GB
Processor: i7 4790
RAM: 8GB DDR3
Motherboard: Gigabyte 970

I have tried the following to resolve my issue, without success:

- Updating the graphics card drivers
- Updating the game (latest version)
- Reinstallation
- Lowering graphics to minimum
- Lowering the resolution to minimum in windowed mode.
- Launching the game with different compatibility modes
- Launching the game as an admin

The game runs somewhat correctly in windowed mode with minimum graphics/resolution, but still suffers from FPS drops.

Thank you in advance to anyone who can help me!

Hi, when you play, your hard drive doesn't stay active. To check if it's there, you have a small LED on your tower that blinks.

Hi, yes the LED is blinking several times per second while playing.

Is your game not on the same hard drive as Windows?

It wasn't the case, I transferred it to my SSD but it didn't change anything...

Does the LED on your hard drive blink when you're not gaming?
To test, turn off your game and wait 2 minutes, then check if your LED blinks.

      I just solved my problem!
You're going to laugh, it was so silly!
It turns out my screen was connected via VGA to my motherboard...
I plugged it into HDMI on my graphics card with an adapter and it works great!

Thank you for your time, and sorry for the inconvenience, have a nice evening!
