Recover and change Hotmail password from my iPhone

Hello,
I only use my Hotmail address from my iPhone. I have all my contacts and important messages there that I don't want to lose.
My problem: I forgot my password.
The login is automatic from my phone; I haven't had to type my password in months...
Could someone tell me if it's possible to retrieve my password from my iPhone and then change it to a new password that I will remember this time?
If you could explain it to me clearly and simply, I'm not very good with these things!

Hello, don’t you have a "show passwords" button in your login settings?
Or, I forgot my password and want to recover it using your backup email!
Or, you can also answer the secret question(s) you set up at the beginning!-
No, I don't have that button... which would have been very handy.
On the emails accessible from the phone, I have the received messages, sent items, trash, and my folders. I don't see any "settings" sections.
I don't have a PC and on the phone, it doesn't ask me to use the backup address and doesn't ask me any questions. I'm afraid I'm stuck using the iPhone. It seems surprising, there must be a solution... Help!!! -
