How to show my password in plain text instead of dots?

Good evening,

I sometimes use quite sophisticated passwords for certain websites, so while I have no problem remembering them, I do encounter some small issues when it comes to typing them:

I'm quite a distracted person and not necessarily very skillful, so when I type quickly on my keyboard, I have a strong tendency to make typos and I quite regularly find myself wondering if I've typed a certain letter in uppercase, if I've forgotten to double a character, if I've forgotten to activate my numeric keypad (on PC), or even (more rarely) simply forgetting where I am...

These problems would disappear if I could see what I was writing, but as everyone knows, on most websites, this is impossible when it comes to a password.

I was therefore wondering if there was a program to "lift the veil" on the passwords I type, or if it is possible to configure my computer to disable password masking (at least when I'm home alone).

I also frequently use both MacBooks and Windows PCs (and browse indifferently on Safari, Firefox, or Chrome depending on which one is open when I take the computer ^^ ...) and occasionally Ubuntu, but I could decide to install it if it is the only one that offers a solution to my problem.
