Hello, I'm working on Word, and I'm a bit lost with some non-printable characters, among others the one shown in the photo below. Is there a detailed list of non-printable characters in Word somewhere? Thank you.

    Hello,

Knowing that even the enumeration provided by Microsoft on its website is incomplete, here is a small addition to the list proposed by m@rina:
    - the symbol ¤ corresponding to your image is the cell end mark. You will necessarily find it in every cell of a table.
    - the symbol ° which represents a non-breaking space (CTRL SHIFT Space) to avoid separating 2 words for instance.
    - the small black square to the left of a paragraph indicates that there is a "chain" in the same named tab of the Paragraph dialog box (solid paragraphs or lines, page break before).

These marks are visible if you enable their display (¶ icon in the Home tab), but they are not printed.

Not printed either but displayed by other commands:
    - the gray brackets [ ] surround a bookmark if their display is requested in the advanced Options.
    - the gray braces { } surround a field code (for example { PAGE }) and are displayed/hidden with ALT F9.

Of course, there are also page breaks, column breaks, and section breaks but they are clearly identified.
