NVIDIA card issue on MSI laptop

Hello,

I have a problem, I hope you can help me :)
I bought an MSI computer: http://fr.msi.com/support/nb/GT72-2QE-Dominator-Pro.html#down-bios

And the issue is that it doesn't recognize the Nvidia graphics card, but only the Intel HD 4600, which is the basic one I believe, but I'm not an expert.

This PC was sent back to MSI's customer service at first because it wouldn't turn on, and they changed the motherboard and graphics card before returning it to me. Is it possible that the Nvidia card is not properly configured? And if so, how can I do that?

Thank you in advance.

What do you want to do, use both graphics cards simultaneously?

After launching the installation from the CD with the NVIDIA drivers provided with the PC, it says: this graphic driver did not find any compatible graphic hardware.

Okay, so it's simple. I don't know if this has already been done, but if it hasn't, remove the other graphics card, keep the one you want, then go to the Control Panel, then Hardware and Sound, then Device Manager, and tell me what you see under Graphics Card.

According to what I've read, it's the one associated with the motherboard or something like that, so I can't remove it, and when I go to Device Manager, it says Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 under graphics cards, the other one doesn't show up.

Ok so it’s going to be a bit more complicated because you will have to run both graphics cards simultaneously, which changes things. The problem is that it’s essential for both graphics cards to be compatible, ouch ouch etc...

I'm going to try to help you. Agourere and Flogger, I think you haven't understood the problem...

I need you to answer a few questions, what operating system is your laptop running?

I've already encountered a case of an unrecognized graphics card...

In fact, for your information, your HD4600 card is integrated into the processor, it's an Intel, it runs when you don't need the dedicated graphics processor (the GTX 980 M).

First, remove the battery, unplug the laptop from the power source, and hold down the power button for about 20 seconds.

Then plug everything back in and restart, and try to reinstall the Nvidia graphics drivers that you can find here based on the operating system you have: (https://fr.msi.com/support/nb/GT72-2QE-Dominator-Pro.html#down-driver)

    And keep us updated... :)

      Hi val55n

But I didn't try to understand, simply when I read this:
Ok so it's going to be a bit more complicated, because you'll have to get both graphics cards to work simultaneously, that changes the game. The problem is that both graphics cards must be compatible, Ouch Ouch etc...

I reacted to prevent this matter from going off the rails.............nothing more.

It's all good; I'm not resentful, I don't hold it against you anymore. xP

Go there, everything is there: " https://fr.msi.com/support/nb/GT72-2QE-Dominator-Pro.html#down-bios "
      Apparently, it's about a Windows 7.
