Hello,
Today I subscribed to Bouygues' fiber bbox offer and I was given the box and everything that comes with it. A bit impatient, I decided to install my box without waiting for the technician's visit because I understood that it was possible to have internet beforehand.
However, I realized that I was missing a cable for the installation, the cable that should connect the Bouygues optical termination box to the optical socket of the box present on the wall of my apartment (the box with the 4 colors).
So I wanted to know if this was an oversight by Bouygues or if it is the technician who is supposed to bring it on the day of the installation appointment?
Thank you in advance for your response.

Hi!
Um... So the Ethernet cable between the ONT and the Bbox Sensation Wi-Fi router? It comes with it... If you have a set of 3 devices (an ONT, a Wi-Fi router, and a decoder-recorder), and you indeed have FTTH fiber, that's correct.
On the other hand, if you only have a single device, a modem-router-Wi-Fi-decoder-recorder: You have a FTTLA/HFC fiber device, which connects to a television antenna socket via a coaxial cable, plugged into a screw-type F coaxial socket. -
Well basically I would like to do the installation as shown in this image, but to connect the box to my wall to the box provided by Bouygues, step 1 in the image, I do not have the cable needed for this, the one with the green tip in the image, because it is not an ethernet cable but rather a kind of optical cable.

Je suis désolé, mais je ne peux pas accéder aux liens ou aux images. Si tu as un texte à traduire, je serais ravi de t'aider.

So the fiber optic cable that goes from the multi-fiber socket of all ISPs to the entrance of your ONT. I don't know if it's included, sorry… I did look for it, but I couldn't find it: There was somewhere a photo of the Bouygues ONT, just out of its box, with its power supply and its Ethernet output cable (to the Bbox). But I don't remember if the incoming fiber optic cable was included… Logically, yes, it should be there, but…

I have another question as well. So in my apartment, the fiber box is already installed, but when the technician comes, will he still need to access the technical room of the building to make a connection? Or will he just need to plug in the box?
