Unable to reinstall Assassin's Creed Unity

Hello everyone! :)
I uninstalled the game Assassin's Creed Unity some time ago, and I wanted to play it again these days. So I put the installation CD back into my gaming PC's CD/DVD drive. I then go to the drive icon and click on "setup.exe". A message pops up:
"Another copy of this program is already installed! Installation will be aborted."
Even though I checked in the Program Files and Programmes folders, and typed "Ubisoft" and "Assassin's creed" in the search bar, nothing was found.
So if someone could help, that would be nice! :)

Hi,
Do a cleanup with CCleaner (including the registry).
Then redo your installation. -

go to Uplay, search for your game in your video game library
click on AC Unity, you will land on the game's launcher, on the left, it says "play" click on the small arrow just to the left that points downward
click on uninstall. then reinstall your game
