Hello,    Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 35.0  Hello, I have a problem similar to Etincellle in 1983. My network card "Conceptronic USB adapter 54Mbits/s" is no longer working. Strangely, I always have internet through Wi-Fi, but I can't connect via Ethernet. My PC is a DELL 64 bits Thank you in advance if you can help me. Best regards

Hello,  Go to Start In the Search bar Type: devmgmt.msc and OK.  If there are any alerts, like question marks, etc... Give the hardware ID numbers. To find the ID number, look --> here  What is the exact model number of the Dell? Is it indeed a Windows 7?   Human beings are at their best when things are at their worst.

Hello kanaegle There is indeed an exclamation mark on the symbol in front of "Conceptronic 54Mbits/s USB adapter" in the device manager. The device ID numbers are: PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_1692&SUBSYS_04001028&REV_01  The DELL is an OPTIPLEX 380, I don't see any number apart from the service tag number and the Express service code. Are those the ones you want? (as for the response, those are, again, written as "saucisson") And yes, it's a Windows 7 Pro There you go, thank you very much. Good try but:  Windows found a driver for your device but encountered an error while trying to install it: Broadcom Netlink.....  This device cannot start (error 10)

Download and install --> 7Zip 64 bits  Right-click on the driver --> NIC_.....exe Choose --> 7Zip Choose --> extract to NIC_.....  Go to Device Manager Right-click on the device in question Update driver Search for a driver on my computer Browse Go to the unzipped driver folder --> NIC_..... Select the folder --> Windows7-x64 Next, etc... Restart   -- Human beings are at their best when things are at their worst

Well, this is all very confusing, now a dialog box is telling me: "The best driver for your device is already installed Windows has determined that your device driver is up to date Broadcom Netlink (TM) Gigabit Ethernet". And despite this, after restarting, I still have the exclamation point on the logo in the device manager... And my Ethernet connection is not working.

Go to Device Manager Right-click on the Broadcom Netlink device Uninstall it (including drivers) Restart the PC.  Try to install the driver again.  -- Human beings are at their best when things are at their worst.
