Good evening,

I searched all day on the internet, dug through the menus, and found nothing...

My situation: a nice CISCO 2950 switch connected via console port.
I managed to save the config, overwrite the config, restore the config, in short, with the help of the internet, I was able to manage. But now I'm stuck...

I need to create one or more users on the switch.
I successfully set a password on the enable mode, but the goal is to create a username with a password upon connection.

Tutorials, forums, I've done it all and found nothing.
Can you please help me?
Thank you in advance.

Have a good evening.
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 2.0.0.4

Amazed to find nothing on such a subject!

You declare a user as simply as this:

    conf t
    username toto password titi

After that, you can define other parameters (like their permission level on the equipment, for example).

But for the pure and simple creation, this line is enough.

        Hello neither,
Global configuration, not on an interface.

I took my PC to a repair shop, I had a lot of viruses even though I had installed plenty of antivirus software -.-

If it came back to the surface, it's simply because I asked myself the same question yesterday :) so being on the topic, I took the opportunity to post
and I thank you, it made me terribly happy.....
