youtube freebox bug

Question

Hi everyone :)

For some time now, I've been having a problem with my Freebox.
Every time I start a video on YouTube, it barely has time to load before YouTube redirects me to the homepage.

I don't know how to fix it.

I have the same problem, I called 3244, they escalated it to the technical service who told me, I quote, "the freeplayer does not replace a computer."

Anyway, I think they don't know where the problem is (considering that I also have an issue with Facebook and Twitter).

Actually, for YouTube, this is mainly due to Free: Here is an article by Korben explaining the why and how. This article is well detailed, and after reading it, you will understand that all of this is just a story of money between the ISPs (Free, Orange, etc.) and the content providers (YouTube, etc.).

You can use a proxy to mask your connection, but it's not optimal; it's still better than nothing in case of a prolonged slowdown.
