Problem with adobe reader

Solved

I can no longer open my PDF files. An error message tells me that Adobe Reader cannot open the file due to an incompatibility with the system configuration and gives me three options: open by disabling protected mode, always open with protected mode disabled, or not open with protected mode disabled.
I tried the first two options and each time, another error message appears:
Acrobat failed to load its core DLL.

I uninstalled and then reinstalled Adobe Reader without success. Still the same error messages.

What should I do?

Thank you for your responses.

Hello

You can use Sumatra PDF >http://www.sumatrapdfreader.org/free-pdf-reader-en.html
You might have an old version of Adobe Reader
Uninstall Adobe Reader
Download it from the official site >>https://get2.adobe.com/en/reader/otherversions/ and reinstall it.
If you choose Sumatra, you will need to uninstall that faulty Adobe.

Who loves instruction! find the knowledge that comes from reflection!
PS. Frequently create a restore point! it solves quite a few problems.

Thank you, Tribun. I tried twice to uninstall Adobe Reader and reinstall it using the link you gave me... without success.
So I installed Sumatra PDF. And it works great.
A big thank you to you.
