Labels and sub-labels in Gmail

Hello,

I use a lot of labels and sub-labels in my Gmail inbox. It's very handy, but I don't know how to hide the sub-labels. As a result, I have a huge list from which I need to choose to classify an email.
How can I reduce this list so that I only see the labels? That way, when I click on a label, only the associated sub-labels will appear?

    Hello,
    Click on the small downward arrow next to the Label.
    To open it, click again on the same arrow when it is horizontal.
