Hello,
I would like to install Windows 7 on my HP DV7 1114ef via USB instead of Vista, but all this on a new and empty 500 GB SSHD. My concern is that when I check in the BIOS, F9 does not show a boot option for USB, only for the internal CD/DVD ROM or the portable hard drive, but not for USB.
How can I configure F9 to include the USB boot option and the steps to install Windows 7 via USB?

Hello, I installed Win7 on a USB flash drive with a little software to boot from the USB drive, but the problem is when I plug the USB drive into my PC to start it, it gets stuck on the HP welcome page and nothing happens, it just freezes and I can't do anything; I have to unplug it to restart. However, if I start it without the USB drive, I can enter the BIOS and everything else. Can someone help me, please???
