Les Champs de bataille de l’Entente pendant la Première Guerre mondiale

Hello,

I found again a game I loved a few years ago: The Entente published by Buka Entertainment. But since we’re on Windows 7 and the game released in 2003, it was designed for XP and DirectX 8.0. I tried to run it on my Seven, the installation succeeded, I tried to play but when loading a map the game doesn’t follow the camera movements (the mouse freezes, the screen becomes increasingly white as if colors are overlapping) and after a while the game crashes and stops.

I then tried to install it on a virtual XP from my PC and it’s worse: the game installs but the game won’t even launch.

Is there a solution so that I can play it again??
PS: I should note that the CD is pristine and I bought it recently on the net.

Thanks to anyone who can help with advice :)

    Hello,

    Under seven, have you tried:
    - right-clicking on the .exe (the small file that starts the game);
    - then "Properties";
    - then in the "Compatibility" tab: check "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select Windows XP.
