Old versions of Adobe Reader

Question

Hello everyone,I noticed that after installing the Adobe Reader 7.0.9 update, the Adobe Reader 6 version (pre-installed on my PC) is still present but inactive. Should I uninstall it since it still takes up 52 MB? There is also the 7.0.8 version (83 MB) also present.Will Adobe 7.0.9 still work if I proceed with these removals?Thanks in advance for your advice.

You need to remove all versions of Acrobat Reader and download the latest version, Acrobat Reader 8.0.1.

Hello, actually I made a mistake: on my PC there is: - Acrobat Elements 6.0 (French) (78 MB) which no longer works (error message "Unable to find Adobe PDF printer or Acrobat Distiller printer; then missing package "acrobat elements 6.0 french.msi").  there is also: - Adobe Acrobat - Reader 6.0.2 update (5.64 MB) - Adobe Acrobat and Reader 6.0.3 update (0.99 MB) - Adobe Acrobat and Reader 6.0.4 update (0.47 MB)  And there is also: - Adobe Reader 7.0.5 (language support) (33.57 MB) - Adobe Reader 7.0.8 - French (83.26 MB) - Adobe Reader 7.0.9 - French (76.64 MB) - Spelling dictionaries for Adobe Reader Package (25.35 MB)  On the other hand, I have Adobe Reader 7.0 working well (I uninstalled Adobe Reader 6).  There you go, I don't know if all of this is normal, if you can shed some light on my situation, I thank you in advance.

Thank you for your advice; I tried CCleaner, which I use regularly, but it didn't help. When opening a PDF file, Adobe offered me an update to version 8, but it's impossible due to an error message.

I tried to uninstall Acrobat Elements with Uninstall Tool 2.2 and I got the following message: "Failed to start the Print Spooler service. Please verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."  At the same time, I'm thinking that Acrobat Elements was preinstalled on my PC; maybe the blockage is due to the fact that it was a trial version, and I just need a key to reactivate it?

Hello  I can't print any administrative document, I have Adobe Reader 6.0, which was still working a few days ago! And yesterday, I couldn't print anything in PDF!  Should I uninstall everything? And reinstall a new one? Knowing that I am on Windows 98 SE, with Internet Explorer 6.0 I think!  Can you please help me! I no longer receive anything by mail, only by internet!
