Hello, I just got trapped on Bazoocam. First, a girl told me to show my face, I did it, and then she filmed me naked. She said she would post it online. Am I at risk for something?

    Good evening,

The risk is probably a small ransom demand that, in any case, will not stop the process of uploading.

Wherever the video is uploaded, we must hope that moderators will do what is necessary to have it removed.

As long as there are no names, no email addresses given, no accounts exchanged (like FB, etc.), no phone numbers exchanged, it's not too dangerous.

By the way, this is something known. Do a Google search for:
    https://www.google.com/search?num=100&newwindow=1&safe=off&q=bazoocam+demande+rançon

And this must be happening elsewhere, often!

    Best regards

Hi, no don't worry about that, it's just blackmail from scammers, they won't do anything.
      Hang in there.

Heyyy don't worry, you're not at risk at all. I had this problem two years ago lol but there was never any video online, it's just a pressure tactic. You don't have to worry, but still be careful with these things.

I saw a similar topic and the answer is: no. Apparently, there are guys in Africa who do this to make money off the guilt of people who get taken advantage of. In the similar topic, they advise to alert social networks (regarding friends). I think there is documentation on this on the site. Look a bit, you'll find it!

    Hello.
It's not very smart to parade naked in front of your webcam.

But there are scammers who want to pressure you into giving them money.
    Stop responding to their demands.
    Block their emails.
They can't do anything with that video.

    Hello,

The same thing happened to me, but through Facebook. The person threatened to send the video to my friends; I deleted that contact from Facebook and apparently the profile no longer exists. The video was uploaded to YouTube, I reported it and it has now been removed. Apparently none of my friends have seen it.
But is there any chance that the video could be shared elsewhere?

      Hello

Before the scumbag (out of spite for not getting your money..) has the unfortunate idea of sending a link to the video to your contacts via email (set to private so it’s not censored by Moderation..) apply this as a preventive measure:

      Good luck!

      See you!

Do you think the guy has nothing better to do than send an email to my friends? He can't be asking for money, can he? I don't think he had the time. But I managed to ban his Facebook account with which he scammed. Now, can he create another one? Do you think he still has my contacts list with him?

And do you think he can find the emails of all my friends like that?

I looked in my brother's email inbox, who is one of my Facebook friends, and there’s nothing there.

Do you think he has given up?

      Re:

That's hard to say.. Generally, if the pigeon doesn't show any signs of life, the scammer prefers to move on to another creature to pluck.. But sometimes, a persistent scammer will send an email to contacts just to show that they're not fooling around.. Hence my suggestion to notify the contact list.. It's a precautionary principle that will allow you to sleep better..

      See you+
