HELLO!
I would like to know if it is legal or not to download YouTube videos using the site telechargeo.com? I was kicked out of an internet café! I thought only peer-to-peer was prohibited!

The issue of legality is not the technique but the usage we make of it.
Peer to peer is not illegal. What is illegal is using it to share files that are protected by copyright.
For example, if I upload a video of my vacation in peer to peer and I want to share it with the whole world, that’s legal.
On the other hand, if I upload the DVD of Spiderman on a peer to peer server, that’s illegal because the rights do not belong to me and the author has not ceded them but has, on the contrary, protected them.
For YouTube, it’s the same: if it’s a video whose publisher owns the rights or if they are free, you can download it for your personal use. If the rights are reserved or if the copy on YouTube is already illegal, then you do not have the right.
The cyber café applies the precautionary principle. It cannot know whether what you are going to download is legal or not. So to protect itself, it prohibits everything. This way, it will not have any problems because it’s its IP that will be seen by investigators in case of illegal downloading.

I'm asking the same question: is it legal to download from "téléchargeo.com" all videos on YouTube posted by users?
I download music videos that I really love on "YouTube" so I can watch them without being connected to the internet. But I would never use these videos on other sites or blogs (since I didn't make them myself). It's just for my personal enjoyment of watching these videos because I love them. Right now, the entire season 14 of ER and other series have been put online, is it legal to download that? There are also all the soap operas like The Young and the Restless, and there are many scenes that have been posted online that we in France haven't seen yet, is it legal to download that?
I would like to know if YES or NO we can ?????
