Yes, paid software available for free download is unlikely to be legal... and given the site, as lilidurhone said, you risk picking up some nasties.

If I remember correctly, there have been sites that sold works for which they did not hold the rights or that charged for "premium" accounts :-/

given that the site also has a physical presence, I would be tempted to say yes.
If they are not entirely compliant, I don’t think we can say it’s your fault, since you are paying. (assuming we’re talking about the same thing)

Noted: it becomes legal again... provided that the release of the preview is allowed outside of MS and that the site holds the rights to what it sells.

Malavida does not sell anything, it only provides free or shareware software, and the mentions are clearly visible on the program page, from what I could see.
