Mp3/mp4 purchased in China, stuck on starting. Solved

Hello,

I have an mp3/mp4 purchased on eBay and it comes from China.
It worked normally for... 1 day!
Since then, when I turn it on, a hourglass appears... and nothing else happens... it stays stuck on the hourglass..
I have no idea what to do, and my computer no longer recognizes it.
Please help me!

I have a Sony MP3 MP4 made in Japan (DV MP3 MP4 player Sony) that I bought in Tunisia for a fortune (and it's not a counterfeit but a clearance item).  It freezes on the home page when I turn it on.  I tried connecting it to a computer and it was not recognized, not even signaled!!  I tried charging it but it doesn’t change anything.  I don't have a manual.  What can I do??  Please help me!!!!  I've only had it for 2 months!

Hello, I think I know how to fix your problem. As you said, when you turn it on, you get a loading icon (but is your screen white?). Because if so, I can help you.
What you need to do is connect the drive, explore its contents, and delete the problematic file.
Your issue (the presence of a file with an unsupported extension, for example, an exe in the root of the drive) and if you don't have a connection on your PC, install the driver for Windows 98, provided on the CD, then reconnect.

Allo everyone, I was able to fix my Chinese mp3, you just need to plug it in, go to My Computer, and you’ll see your player. Right click on it, and format! And there you go, it’s like new.
