Hello
I have the same problem; the original hard drive (Samsung) being dead, I just replaced it with a 500GB Western Digital hard drive, and since then when starting on the TV, I get stuck on loading.
Through the USB port on the PC, there’s no problem.
I’ve tried all the jumper positions, and nothing works.
I also tried with an old hard drive, and it works.
Thank you for your help.-

Hello,
EUREKA!!!! I found it!! In fact, it really comes from the fact that the firmware update was not done.
I tried everything on my side. As a last resort, I downloaded the firmware that I installed and Oh miracle!! it works!! My TV recognizes it and I can read everything without any issues.
It's a shame you sent it to customer service because it's not a technical problem. I'm giving you a good tutorial for the update (below) because you'll need it when you receive your new Tvix.
Patience....
See you later.

Hello,
it seems that the problem comes from the incompatibility of Western Digital HDDs with AA or AV in their model number.
I found this information on the Divco website dated 02/08/2007.
Aside from returning the Tvix to the retailer to have the hard drive replaced, I don't think there's much else to do.

Well, that would surprise me! I bought the complete device, equipped by DVIco... if they start selling products they don't know about... I left a request on their site, I will post here if they give me a proper answer. In the meantime, I'm biting my nails.

Hello,
I received a somewhat unclear response this week... if you have any idea...
"
Merci.
"
They're nice, aren't they! Replace the unit!
Well, I don't feel any further ahead than that... :-(( -
Hello,
it is impossible to read on my TV with the M3100U
here is its message:
Mounting on the hard disk drive failed
please check cable connection partition and format setting
I don’t understand anything about partitions and formatting, what should I do
does it relate to the fact that I am on a MAC
thank you for your help-
Good evening,
I saw that you posted a message some time ago, and I have the same problem today. Could you please let me know if you have solved the issue? Thank you in advance! I'm reminding you of the issue: "Mounting on the hard disk drive failed - please check cable connection, partition, and format setting" phrase displayed on my TVIX.

Hello,
I have a reading problem with my tvix, there is a delay between the voice and the image and the image gets pinkish in some places!!
Does anyone know about the problem?
On another note, should I set it to PAL or NTSC for S-video? -
Hello,
Vincent: Your drives need to be in FAT or NTFS... If you're on a MAC, is that the case? I don't know...
Miguel: There's a delay between the voice and the image; it happens to me from time to time, especially after doing a fast forward or rewind... Tasks from Rose, no, not for me... Then, if you're in France and using a French television, you must be in PAL!
Sorry, no more information... But believe me, from what I've tried, don't complain about the TVIX; others have different issues!!
Pierre. -
Indeed, the lag occurs every 3 to 4 minutes, and when I do a quick forward or rewind, it resets!
Could being too full cause the device to glitch? -
The lag occurs every 3 or 4 minutes, and when I fast forward or rewind, it syncs again!
Could it be that the device is too full and that's causing it to glitch? -
Sorry, I was traveling...
Maybe the fact that it's full, indeed... I've never had this issue, except when doing fast forward and rewind. What seems certain to me is that in their firmware, they have something different for sound/image: but since it's anyway impossible to update the firmware, I don't really see...
It seems that sometimes a full reset, even a formatting, helps (according to a friend who has the same equipment...) but I don't have the time to try...
Anyway, I think I'm going to switch to a NAS server and a media player: more expensive, of course, but with more flexibility depending on my home setup!

Hello,
I've tried downloading, but I'm always facing the same problem.
Do you have any other solutions? -
My Western Digital 320GB disk is finally recognized (thanks to the information found in this forum).
It is necessary to first upgrade the firmware to 2.0.3 - But this requires a recognized disk, so it must be formatted!
I replaced the supplied disk with an old one (WD 40GB) already formatted (NTFS, Primary, Active, and Cluster = 4k)
I performed the firmware upgrade.
And finally, I put back the original disk that I was able to format.
This kind of distribution is unacceptable; fortunately, the product is of very good quality.
It seems that one can add background music to a slideshow, but I haven't found how to do it.
On the other hand, the 16:9 format is not recognized.
Thank you all. -
I just bought the "famous" tvix m-3100U.
After formatting it, I followed the procedure to upgrade the firmware.
The result is that the "box" remains stuck on the update display and I still have nothing on the TV
(certainly there was a progress before, I only had "loading").
I took a little stroll on various forums, but so far no solution...
Please help, I'm drowning.... -
The lack of TV display shows that the disk is still not recognized.
It is imperative to format it as a primary partition, active, and with a cluster size of 4k
(I used Norton Partition Magic). -
I forgot this: if the disk model provided is only recognizable by version 2.0.3 of the firmware
(while the provided version is only 2.0.2), I see no other solution than to replace the supplied disk with
another disk (an old pre-formatted one) to carry out the update. -
Hello everyone
I just bought a TVIX M-3100U, and when I connect it to my PC, it installs properly with the indication "USB," but the hard drive doesn't appear in my COMPUTER. I don't know what to do.
Thank you -

Hello everyone.
I’m not used to writing on this kind of forum, but since I see everyone struggling...
I bought this product like you, which contained a 500GB Seagate HDD.
It was recognized by the PC but impossible to update the firmware as it was stuck on "Update."
I replaced the Seagate with an old 200GB WD and finally managed to update the firmware.
I reinserted the Seagate and just like before, it told me it couldn’t boot from it.
No jumper was present on the HDD, so I put one where it was supposed to go, and voila, I have access to my disk now. (I booted from it three times in a row after this operation without any issue).
So I think they had major compatibility problems with the WDs and Samsungs and decided to use Seagates... forgetting to put the jumper to set it as master...
Great, that's professionalism for you!!!!
Also, some DIVXs completely freeze the TVix and the MP3s sometimes have "dropouts" during playback...
In any case, try the fix; it might work for you too (keep me updated ;-)).
Best regards... -
Good evening
my dvico3100u skips images and the sound blocks, I have to pause, play, pause??? in order to watch again. The disk is starting to fill up. Should I do an update?
the player is from 2006 without any updates.
thank you for getting me out of this bind.
sincerely. -
