Problem with Samsung YP-K5 MP3

Solved

Hello everyone,

This Christmas, I had the privilege of receiving a Samsung YP-K5 MP3 player. Everything was working great until there was a break. I sent it to the store where I bought it to have it checked, and they sent me a new one.

That's where the problem lies. As soon as I received it, I tried to turn it on, but there was no result. I plugged it into the USB port, and it displayed "Charging...," so I let it charge.

After 5 hours, I went to see if it would turn on, but there was no signal; it was off. Since it wouldn't turn on via USB or the power button, I started asking myself a lot of questions.

I tried it on 3 different computers, but with no results.

Can anyone help me?

Hello, for my birthday I received the Samsung YP-K5 MP3 player with the cable and installation CD, etc. I installed everything, but when I plug in the YP-K5 MP3 player, my computer does not recognize it.
What can I do? Thank you in advance.

    Hello,
I received a K5 MP3 player a few months ago, and a few weeks ago I returned it to the store because it only turned on when plugged in. Yesterday, I went to pick up the player from the store, I charged it and after a few hours, the MP3 player got stuck when I turned it on. When it gets to the "SAMSUNG" screen at the beginning! I can't do anything with it now:
Do you have any ideas on how to fix it?
    Thank you.

Behind the speakers, next to the drum set, there is a "reset" button.
Press it! I had a similar problem, and it fixed everything.
You should always read the manual!

I would like to add that if you have a “bad” sound as Jonass described so well, it's just that your mp3 file is “bad” because my song is not in any way bad. This can happen, but it’s only that the file is faulty or poorly recorded.
And theoretically, the sound from a portable player is never listened to at maximum volume =).

    Hello

I have a problem with my K5 mp3. When it's in headphone mode everything works fine, but when I open it to use the speaker mode, it shuts down.

I have the same problem as sh0n3.
The battery of my Samsung YP-K5 MP3 player is full, when it is in headphone mode everything is fine, but as soon as I slide the speaker, the battery bar drops very quickly until there is no more line and the MP3 shows "low battery!" and turns off.
Yet I turn it back on in headphone mode and the battery is full.
    Can someone help me?

    Hello,
I got my Samsung YP-K5 a year ago. I decided to download a firmware but now when I turn it on, a white screen appears.
I tried to delete this firmware but it no longer appears in "internal storage". What to do?

    To Contestor.
Reinstall the new firmware if the data folder is no longer on your MP3, create a new folder and name it "Data," then paste the three firmware files, unplug your K5 and turn it on and let it install its update :)

      Hello,
I have the Samsung YPK5 JZB and I decided to install a firmware, and since then the MP3 is not recognized by any computer. I can't access anything; when I turn it on, a blue light appears, and then nothing happens for a long time. I uninstalled and reinstalled everything, but nothing. When I connect it to the computer, it doesn't show up in My Computer, and the same notification tells me that 'the device could not be installed.' I even tried updating the driver, but nothing worked. Please try to help me.
      Thank you in advance.

Hello everyone. I've had my YPK5 for a year now and I had a problem three months ago. One day it just wouldn't turn on anymore. When I plug it into the computer, it says RTC error and as soon as I unplug it from the computer, it doesn't work at all. The problem is that I no longer have a warranty and it was my sister who bought it for me online, so there's no store to complain to. While browsing different forums, I thought I understood that this problem happens often. Has it happened to any of you? If so, could you give me information on how to repair it? Thank you all and big hugs.

Hello, I bought the K5 MP3 player but there is a problem. I charge it and it shows fully charged, but when I turn it on, the battery level is at 1 bar. Normally, when I open it for the speakers, it turns off and shows low battery.
Thank you for finding a solution.

I've had the same problem a week ago. It's normal if your computer didn't detect your device; it's not possible to charge it, and if it's properly installed, try formatting it.

Hi, I had this problem, the battery seemed full, but it didn't work. In fact, the drivers were no longer installed. Once reinstalled, everything was fine.

For your problem TOPHER, a site says to go to the Samsung website and download the latest firmware for the player. I think it could really work. Try it and let us know if it worked. Thanks.

My problem with this model (k5) is that no matter which headphones I connect, only one works. And it's not a headphone issue since they work perfectly on other devices. Is there a way to repair it?

Thank you for the quick response, but when I load it, it shows me that it charges :s (when I connect it to the Play 2 via USB port, does it work too?)
