Problem with Samsung YP-K5 MP3 Solved

Hello everyone,

This Christmas, I had the privilege of receiving a Samsung YP-K5 MP3 player. Everything was working great until there was a break. I sent it to the store where I bought it to have it checked, and they sent me a new one.

That's where the problem lies. As soon as I received it, I tried to turn it on, but there was no result. I plugged it into the USB port, and it displayed "Charging...," so I let it charge.

After 5 hours, I went to see if it would turn on, but there was no signal; it was off. Since it wouldn't turn on via USB or the power button, I started asking myself a lot of questions.

I tried it on 3 different computers, but with no results.

Can anyone help me?

I have the same problem as sh0n3.
The battery of my Samsung YP-K5 MP3 player is full, when it is in headphone mode everything is fine, but as soon as I slide the speaker, the battery bar drops very quickly until there is no more line and the MP3 shows "low battery!" and turns off.
Yet I turn it back on in headphone mode and the battery is full.
Can someone help me?

I got my Samsung YP-K5 a year ago. I decided to download a firmware but now when I turn it on, a white screen appears.
I tried to delete this firmware but it no longer appears in "internal storage". What to do?

To Contestor.
Reinstall the new firmware if the data folder is no longer on your MP3, create a new folder and name it "Data," then paste the three firmware files, unplug your K5 and turn it on and let it install its update :)

Hello everyone. I've had my YPK5 for a year now and I had a problem three months ago. One day it just wouldn't turn on anymore. When I plug it into the computer, it says RTC error and as soon as I unplug it from the computer, it doesn't work at all. Hello, I bought the K5 MP3 player but there is a problem. I charge it and it shows fully charged, but when I turn it on, the battery level is at 1 bar. Normally, when I open it for the speakers, it turns off and shows low battery.

Salut ! Pour mettre la radio, tu peux généralement suivre ces étapes :

1. Allumez votre appareil (radio ou application de radio).
2. Utilisez le bouton de réglage ou les touches pour choisir la station souhaitée.
3. Ajustez le volume si nécessaire.

Si tu utilises une application, cherche l'icône de "play" ou une station spécifique dans la liste.

Hello,  I finally got my k5. I normally listen to it with headphones just like with speakers. But one day when I had it in speaker mode, a black band appeared between the speaker and the mp3. I closed it in headphone mode, then reopened it in speaker mode, and the black band disappeared. But since the appearance of that band, my mp3 won't turn on anymore. I pressed the power button insistently, but still nothing. So I thought it might have run out of battery. I then plugged it into my computer, and it says RTC ERROR! but it is charging anyway. But when I disconnect it, it doesn't turn on at all. I pressed the RESET button, but nothing happened. I then installed the firmware on it, and when I charge it, it says FULLY CHARGED. I unplugged it, tried to turn it on but still nothing.   I'm begging you, help me!! I miss it so much!!!  Thank you very much to everyone who will have helped me!!  Bye!!  XD

Hello, I'm reviving this topic because it's full of people who have had the same problem as me: I have a Samsung YP-T7F MP4 player (it's starting to get old!) and my problem appeared more than a year ago, but I had put it away in a cupboard...  The problem: my battery drains and there's no way to recharge it: as soon as I plug it in via USB (the only way to charge), it shows: fully charged and doesn't charge anymore even though the battery is empty... I managed to manually charge the battery by disassembling the device to turn it on and try: formatting: no results, a firmware update: update okay but the problem is still there...  Has anyone found a solution? Or at least the reason for the problem?? Thanks in advance...

I had the same problem. I looked in the device manager and realized that the device didn't have the drivers installed, even though I had installed it just like usual. I then did an automatic search and it installed the drivers from what I had on the PC apparently. And now, while it was telling me that the battery was charged (but wouldn't turn on), it is currently charging. Plus, I have access to my data, which I couldn't do either.  I hope it works for you too.

It happened to me the same thing not too long ago. But I found the solution!! =) There is a small reset button behind the speaker, so you press it (with a sharp object because the hole is really tiny xD) and that's it. For me it worked, so I hope it will be the same for you. Peace ;)
