"Protection" issue on Car Amplifier.

Question

Hello, a few days ago I bought a pack with a bass speaker + amplifier.

I connected everything as it should be, I followed the instructions to the letter.
Everything worked well until yesterday, on the way to work the amplifier turned off... I pulled over and saw the "Protection" light on.

I thought it was the ground that had moved... the next day, I tried my friend's amplifier, and it works very well.... I checked everything, the fuses, the cables, etc...

I don't know what to do, does anyone have a solution???

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 36.0.1985.125

Ah, I forgot to mention, I don't know if it's normal, but when I left the amplifier plugged in for a few minutes, it was very hot!

Hi.
The amplifier must have short-circuited.
If the device is new, take it back to the store, where it will either be replaced or sent for repair.

Hello, thanks for responding! Is there nothing else I can do but return it to the store? Because I don't know if they will exchange it, it was the last one on the shelf that I took...

And I really don't want to wait a month for customer service...
Plus, my friend who lent me the other amp looked inside mine, so I think the warranty is voided, right? :-/

You have to repair it yourself. If there is no connection problem, etc. (which seems to be the case since another amp works correctly), then a component is burnt out, short-circuited. So you need to track it down and replace it.
If it's obvious that it has been opened, the warranty must have been voided. So, as an alternative solution: pay for customer service or buy a new one.

Alright... so there's no other solution in sight then? :-( I'm going to head back to the store, we'll see what they say...

Otherwise, I'll check with another friend who knows a lot about electronics/electricity to see what he can do... Otherwise, I'll just buy a new one...

So which brand do you recommend? Because I'm hearing plenty of different opinions depending on the brands...
