Meetic's customer traps

Hello,

Beware, when signing up for Meetic, there are traps set here and there to get you to subscribe for a period much longer than you intended! You want to take a month? An error message at the time of validating this type of registration will bring up a page where the mention of a 3-month subscription will have been automatically checked. And voila! A nice sleight of hand. You find yourself subscribed for 3 months without the possibility of returning. The same goes for stopping automatic withdrawals: you will follow step by step how to achieve this by going to the My account - manage my subscription section. After stating your decision to end the subscription, you are offered to fill out a "quality assessment" type questionnaire, and you will drop it thinking the essential is done. This is jumping into the jaws of Meetic, which after 2 pages of questions about why and how you are leaving Meetic, restarts the unsubscription process as if you hadn't done anything. Since you didn't go that far (because you thought your request had already been expressed), you find the company continuously drawing from your bank account on the pretext that you didn't complete the process. As a result, they didn't send you the email confirming your cancellation and highlight this "non-proof" to keep you tightly in their nets.
Clever and well-thought-out traps...

Indeed, at Meetic, it's confusion guaranteed at all levels; lies, cancellations not acknowledged, complaints ignored as well. Is their software faulty? It doesn't matter if it didn't account for your unsubscription ten or fifteen days before the deadline; it's intentional on their part. Beyond their malice, their dishonesty, these people are not reputable. Did you say scammers?

Well, I'm somewhat in agreement.

Of course, these platforms want to make money, but that seems legitimate to me; volunteering is for Greenpeace, not Meetic.

In my opinion, we can benefit from all these apps as long as we take care not to be deceived by their scam techniques (yes, I admit that sometimes it's a scam, but we have to be smarter). We know there are automatic renewals, we know that sometimes they pretend someone has viewed our profile when it's not true. That's life.

But behind that, there are thousands of REAL profiles that visit these platforms and that you can pursue.

So, let's get moving!

If you want, I can give tons of advice, compare sites, and warn about the deceptive practices of dating sites on my website: https://seducteurmoderne.com/. If that could be of interest ;)
