Viber is not detecting phone contacts anymore. Solved

Hello,

When I reinstalled Viber on my Android, I noticed that it no longer syncs the phone contacts.
I remember refusing its access to the contacts once and I pressed "Don't show this notification anymore".

Does anyone know a solution? For example, is there a way to show a notification again after asking not to show it anymore?

Hello  Go to application manager, then Viber, clear cache and data....restart your phone.

The problem is resolved after several attempts.
The last thing I did before I could sync contacts was to invite one of my contacts. I didn’t complete the invitation, but after I launched it, it synced all the contacts afterwards.

Support also advises deleting a contact that you know uses Viber and re-adding them directly from the software.

I found out how to manage the permissions granted to applications. It's very simple, but you have to know it:
This is done in Settings>Security>App permissions
It looks like a toggle switch, but when you press it, it opens a window summarizing all the permissions.

There are two possible rankings:
- apps by permission
- permissions by app

There are three choices for permissions:
- Always accept (toujours accepter)
- Always ask (toujours demander)
- Always deny (toujours refuser)

Thus, one can manually manage all permissions.
The toggle on this button allows switching between automatic mode and manual mode.
