Hello,
I wanted to update the firmware of my Linksys WRT54G WiFi router.
Apparently, it went well, but since then I can no longer access the configuration page via the IP address 192.168.1.1.
I am still connected to the internet through the router itself, which is connected to a modem via an Ethernet cable.
The cmd ping 192.168.1.1 returns
response from 80.10.126.31 impossible to reach the destination network (4 times)
statistics for ping 192.168.1.1
packets sent 4 received 4 lost 0
If only I could access the router setup, I could restore the previous configuration that I was careful to back up.

Actually, I solved the problem as follows:
I put an old computer back into service that runs on Windows XP, and as soon as I logged in, the router was detected via WiFi; by clicking in the open window on "call," I was surprised to see the fields that allow me to enter the router administrator's name and password (which I hadn't been able to do with the other computer). I was able to verify that the configuration hadn't changed and that the new version of the firmware was indeed installed.
I then reconnected the computer that was having issues and (oh miracle!) I saw that I was indeed connected to the router via WiFi. So everything is working again without having tinkered with anything.
Isn't computing beautiful?
P.S. It doesn't matter, but just to not be left in the dark, I would really like someone to explain it to me.

The internet access is working fine through this router, it's access to the router itself that is not working?
Please do an ipconfig /all and post the result..
