Buying a sofa on showroomprive

Hello everyone,

As a customer of Showroomprive for a while, I haven't had any particular disappointments apart from 2 or 3 minor issues...

So, due to a lack of time for shopping, I got tempted by a pretty nice sofa (of course in the picture) with a description that suits me perfectly (density, material, base, etc...) a total of 800 euros with delivery instead of 1200 euros.

Conscience kicked in in the middle of the night, so I took a look at the forums and there...sweat, racing heart....only negative reviews, delivery problems, products that don't match the DESCRIPTION, borderline COUNTERFEITS!!!!..............TOTAL ANXIETY !!!!!

Minor issues can be overlooked, but not a sofa, that's scary!!!

I'm afraid of burning my backside because of cheap fabric, that the structure is made of twigs and elastic bands...a self-destruction scenario....and also that it won't be delivered for a year or maybe never...ugh, the phobia isn’t as cool as it sounds, Cat.

My question is: "Who has recently ordered a sofa from Showroomprive??"

Today, sofas are not cheap, does anyone know a reliable site?

I made a cancellation request regarding this which should be possible, the request was made before the sale ended. Too bad because it really looks great...in the picture.

To Carole from customer service............what can you tell me other than that everything is nice and lovely at your place? Why do we end up with so many problems on this site?

Don't buy a sofa from Showroom.... I bought two supposedly Italian leather sofas in July 2014 for 1300 euros... a joke, after just over 2 years the leather started to come off in pieces.... 4 years after my purchase, I have to cover it with a blanket because there is no leather left in certain places... a scam....

I bought a sofa at Atelier sel sofa 4 months ago. Since then, 2 buttons have popped off (Chesterfield style sofa) and the seat base has collapsed!!! They respond that it's normal wear!!! And no refund!!! Shoddy manufacturing...

you did well to cancel the order. I got fooled by the website and I'm struggling with them to get my money back. Tempting offers pave the way for scams. I ordered a bobochic sofa from the site, and it took two months to receive it. The super nice driver delivered the package, and I felt frustration as soon as I opened it. Three packages were delivered. The first one was fine, the second one... fine, and the third one is the same as the second!!!!!!!!!!!! So, I checked the forums and realized this is common at Showroom. Called customer service, background noise where you can hear the advisors chatting and laughing while drinking juice......... No answer, just maybe...... despite sending photos to justify, they took my money and everything was postponed to the next day like with crooks.
You were right to retract. I was a customer of this brand, but I won’t be anymore in the future.

Non-compliant item.. Use the provisions of the Legal Compliance Guarantee. Read Articles L217-4 to L217-14 of the Consumer Code and then use them to draft a Formal Notice. Send by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt.

I'm waiting for a sofa since 07/10/20

I've called 4 times, nothing changes, the advisors are robots who repeat themselves without taking any action. What a shame!!
I've requested a refund, the delivery time has passed Showroomprivé is over.

If I don't get a refund, things are going to go very far.

Hello,
Definitely do not buy from Jalouse maison. Sofa of mediocre quality and a customer service that responds that it's normal wear and tear after a year with a 5-year warranty.

Hello, for my part, I bought a sofa from the brand Concept Usine on Showroom. It is from a marketplace seller, I paid €400 for it and the quality is very poor. Indeed, the structure is made of wood :( and one of the supports broke on one side after just 4 months of use. I weigh barely 50kg and the few friends who have sat on it are far from being obese, so there’s no reason for the sofa to break, especially so quickly. In short, I do not recommend the sofas from the brand Concept Usine, the price is indeed attractive, but the quality is mediocre.

It is clear that you sell products without knowing their origin!!! These sofas are made in China and have nothing to do with Scandinavian quality; if you look closely, you can find the right information, and for this brand = mediocre quality
So yes, you offer a lower price for a product that is worth no more in reality due to its quality, so you are participating in a disguised deception.
