Samsung TV Sound Down Alone

Hello,
We bought a Samsung TV model Le 40b530 in 2010; since yesterday, the sound on my television automatically goes down to zero. My remote control, although the batteries are new, is non-functional except for turning the TV on and off. When I increase the volume using the buttons on the side of the TV, the sound systematically goes back down to 0 and the slider remains visible on the TV. What can we do? Thank you in advance for your responses.

    Cela m'est déjà arrivé, tu dois réinitialiser ta télé. Va dans paramètres et tu verras "réinitialiser", ton problème sera résolu :)

      But since it's an old TV, the touch screen doesn't respond to me anymore except to change the volume up and down by itself. I can't access the settings.
