Hello,
I have a problem with the drivers on the LDLC computer I just purchased:
https://www.ldlc.com/fiche/PB00163568.html
I don't have an internet connection at the moment on this computer, since the Wi-Fi card driver is not installed, and I don't have an Ethernet cable... So it's impossible to run a scan on TLD.
And I can't find out what hardware is in this machine online in order to download the appropriate drivers from another computer and transfer them to this one.
How can I find the right driver?
If you have a solution, that would be great ;)
Thank you very much, and have a great day, everyone!

Hello,
3 alternatives, from the simplest to the most complicated:
1/ Contact LDLC support with the model and the serial number of the machine
2/ Figure it out and go to https://www.driverscloud.com/fr/demarrer
This is a program to download and install that will provide all the necessary information to later retrieve the correct drivers
3/ The old-fashioned way by going to Control Panel --> System then Device Manager in the left pane.
In Device Manager, since it is not installed, the wifi should appear as "Network Controller". Right-click on it --> Properties --> go to the Details tab and select Hardware Ids from the list.
Several lines of information will appear below. We are interested in part of this information: for example, I have PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8190xxxxxxx (the x's represent other information) which means:
- PCI Device
- Manufacturer = 10EC
- Model = 8190
A Google search for PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8190 gives me my model: TrendNet brand card with a Realtek RTL8190 chip. -
Hello.
This should be the driver for your Wi-Fi card.> Wi-Fi B (IEEE 802.11b)
This is the Wi-Fi reference from the LDLC link.
Give it a try.

PS. Frequently create a restore point! It solves quite a few problems.-
If it doesn't work, try this one.

Hello,
Did you install the operating system yourself?
And which one...? -
Hello Jimpix,
Thank you for your reply ;)
I installed Windows 7 Ultimate myself.
The version I bought of the computer was without an OS. -
Hello
In principle, all the drivers for this PC are on the CDs/DVDs provided with the components/the PC... And they are also on the manufacturers' websites of the components... Or the laptop, here it’s Clevo in theory.
I seriously doubt that LDLC does not provide support with the corresponding drivers for the PC without OS.
Before asking a question: 1° Turn on your brain, your PC doesn’t think for you!
2° Google is your friend, the search engine from CCM too, do a search! -
Thank you very much Tribun and JB, I managed to get through and I've finally installed my drivers on my new machine ;)
Great responsiveness this Sunday morning, it’s really nice.
Take care! -
