Connecting DVD player to Samsung TV

It's a television that I believe I have owned since the "1990 1995" years.
It's still nice. Four years ago I was watching DVDs on it, but today I can't remember at all.

It mainly depends on the port you used on the TV to transmit the signal from the player... and the type of cable you used as well: if it's HDMI, you should select HDMI 1 or 2... if it's SCART, it's AV or Ext1 or Ext2...
