Hello,
I am working with a group of authors for an encyclopedia. All the archives must be in Word 97-2003 format. I have a Mac. I can export my ".pages" files to Word 97-2004 (docs) from my Mac. However, I need to have the Word 97-2003 program installed on my Mac to be able to work on the various required revisions. Can someone please help me? I'm lost : (

If Master Aliboron passes by, he may offer other possibilities, but for now, Word 97 is software designed for Windows, so to install it on a Mac, you need to install Windows, which can be done as long as you have an Intel processor Mac and a version of Mac OS X that supports BootCamp or another like Parallels Desktop or VMWare Fusion.

At least if the tasks to be performed on the documents can be done on a Mac version, which is the most likely, but we lack specifics on these operations (if, for example, they should be bibliographies, etc.) -

When I install Windows on my Mac, will I be able to work on both systems (OSX and Windows) or will the OSX one remain inaccessible? Finally, all of this seems like Greek to me.

There is also a Microsoft Office version for Mac, which is indeed paid, but it exists. Furthermore, there's no need to have such an old version, compatibility issues are handled, and you just need to be careful when saving to make sure you specify that you want it in doc format and not docx ;) -

Microsoft Office is also available for MAC, but with different version names. (Microsoft Office 98 -> Macintosh edition).
In this case, version 97 is for Windows, not MAC.
However, you won't be able to install any version of Office for Mac; it mainly depends on your version of Mac OS.

Take a look at the small table in the compatibility section.
Recent versions are 'normally' capable of working with older formats, including "97-2003". I say 'normally' because I don't work on Mac, and I'm unable to confirm it for you.
