Hello,
I retrieved an old hard drive from my desktop computer (which has died)
I then put it in an external enclosure
But when I power it on, I can't open it
I only see "Eject USB to ATA/ATAPI"
I also went to Device Manager --> Disk drives and there it is recognized, I tried to "populate" it but nothing at all...

Can you help me?
Thanks

I managed to sort it out actually
By going to computer --> manage
I was able to assign a "letter to my HDD" and everything is working fine now

Sorry, I didn’t understand the process and I have the same issue. Could you explain it to me step by step because I’m not a computer pro.

Hello, I have the same problem. Can you guide me through the steps to rename DD? I don't understand exactly what needs to be done.

      Thank you

        Hello,

Right-click on the Windows flag at the bottom left, then Disk Management, locate your disk, right-click >> assign a letter to the hard drive, confirm, and the drive will have a new letter and will work!
