Hello,
I am sincerely disgusted. A few months ago, my laptop, or rather the motherboard of my laptop, burned out. I got a new laptop and decided to transfer the internal hard drive from the dead laptop into an enclosure to use it externally (it's still 500 GB!!!). I connect it to my new Windows 7 64-bit PC, but I can't recognize it in My Computer! I go to Devices and Printers, and that's where I see it, under the name USB to ATA/ATAPI Bridge.
NB: the enclosure is labeled 2.5" SATA and USB 2.0! What can I do to use it normally or at least recover my 300 GB of data?

PLEASE HELP ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 9.0

Good evening,

It seems that it is just the driver for the usb/ata interface.
Run devmgmt.msc (in the start menu in the search box)
This is the device manager.
Normally, an icon with an exclamation mark should be there.
Please confirm for the next steps.
