How to display + or - in Excel Solved

Hello,  Hello to anyone who would be willing to help me, and thank you in advance.  I am currently setting up a table in Excel 2010 and I would like to insert the + or - sign, but I can't find how to do it.  Help, who can assist me???  Thank you in advance. Hello,  Normally, if you are working with standard format cells, you shouldn't have a problem.  If not, I think I need more details to understand the issue.  Good luck  -- Being normal is boring... being geek is interesting

Hello two options either you enter your values in text format, but they will no longer be usable for calculations, and thus enter your values starting with the apostrophe followed by the sign and the value  or you format conditionally, (from Excel 2007 onwards only) for example select the field A1:A100 Home ribbon/Conditional Formatting/New Rule/Use a formula..." the formula is: =A1<0 format> custom number format and in the type box, enter: -standard OK and new rule and the same with: A1>0 and format + standard  thanks  -- To err is human, to persist is diabolical

Thank you both for replying so quickly;   walidovich_85. I am currently creating a table in Excel, but without calculations. It's a kind of summary, and in one place I need to include a description with the signs + and - (one above the other) and also the signs greater than or equal to, and less than or equal to.  Thank you Vaucluse, but indeed I should have mentioned that it was a table without calculations. Hello,  The signs +, -, > and < can be inserted without any problem. For the sign =, if it appears at the beginning of the cell, precede it with an apostrophe '  Does that solve your problem?  -- Being normal is boring... being a geek is interesting

No, that doesn't address my problem. I want the plus or minus sign, a single sign one below the other. All the signs separately can be inserted very easily. It's the double signs that I don't know how to insert.  -- Anah "Everything that is not given is lost" (Indian proverb)
