Hello,
I create an Excel file to manage my sports bets. In the Result column, I’d like to have a dropdown list with V, ! and X, of course in symbol form rather than letters. I’d like the same symbols as when you go to Home > Conditional Formatting > Icon Sets, if possible.
I tried a list with Wingdings symbols but it didn’t work; I get letters instead, and they aren’t colored (green, yellow, red).
Thanks for your help!
Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 33.0.1750.146

Hello the thread,
Late but I’m coming back to validation lists; it is quite possible to create an artifice substituting validation lists in VBA to display colors, symbols or shapes.
If the discussion is still relevant, I will create a small file to publish online.
To answer the last question, yes of course it’s possible, but the ideal is to name the ranges that feed the validation lists
