No, I don't think so. As soon as I right-click on one of my files, it says next to "3 books compressed and send by email" or "compress in "cmd.rar" and send by email."

    ok,

the 3 compressed books, it's WinRAR!

right-click on one of the files, then select WinRAR (3 books), then add to archive "filename.zip

a file with the same name will be created on your desktop (if the original file is there), host it on cjoint and copy and paste its link in your next message!

I right-clicked on one of my files, clicked on add to archive, then for the archive format I selected Zip and pressed OK, a message appeared telling me writing error to the file.. the disk is probably full
Should I select close, interrupt the operation, or copy the report to the clipboard?

Place the file in a directory that you will create and repeat the same operation to compress the directory to see!

Okay, it works now, I found my file and its logo has changed appearance; it shows a blank sheet, I think it's the original file, however I still cannot open it. Should I send you the link via Cjoint?

    You sent me a shortcut:

it points to a .VBS file and the real file that should be hidden!

Have you tried to show hidden files?

Yes, I wanted to see if it opened, but when I open the folder I created, there is no arrow indicating that the file is a shortcut.
      However, I can try again.

    same, another shortcut!

try displaying hidden files to see if you can find your actual files!

Use this to recover your formatted files, maybe with a bit of luck, we will be able to recover the original files!

    https://forum.pcastuces.com/recuperer_ses_donnees_avec_power_data_recovery-f3s10939.htm

Please note, since this is a trial version, you have the possibility to use it only 2 times!

Here is the scan result! I indeed retrieved a bunch of files! I read some of them and they corresponded well to my old files. The only problem is that they are all named "file" and the files I read are not important! There are also 3 other files named "file" which are in an unknown format, so I don't know if these are really the files I want to recover!
PS: I chose "2-Recover files from a formatted, damaged, RAW partition: Module 2" to recover my files.

    ok,

for unreadable files, there's nothing to be done!

for the Raw partition, whether it's a USB stick or a main partition of the PC, it's toast!

so hardware needs to be replaced!

as for the file names, if you can read them, you can always change them :D

The unreadable files are not in Ink format
and the files that I can read won't be of any use to me!
I tried to open the unreadable files in Notepad and Word and it shows me strange codes!
And I'm afraid that the unreadable files are the ones I needed :(
      There's nothing to be done...?

Unless I contact someone directly who comes on site and tries to solve the problem for me.
      Is it possible?

Since the beginning, you've been writing INK, but I'm sure it's LNK = Link in English = Shortcut in French...

In fact, you didn't copy the files correctly onto the USB stick. To copy the files correctly, you select them (try it first with 1), right-click, and look for Copy. Then you open your USB stick, right-click anywhere in the window, and click Paste.

      Indeed it's LNK,
Usually I do copy/paste, I know how to do it!

Yes, but the fact that you have .lnk files means that he copied Shortcuts to these files, not the files themselves. So make sure that when you click Paste, you are clicking on Paste and not Paste Shortcut...

You've done quite a few operations with these files; in all the reports, I only see shortcuts!

The files should be there, but they're not!

Our friend's comment is quite good, worth reading:

    https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-29842551-fichier-au-format-ink?page=2#89

For the RAW partition, I've already given you the solution!

For the files you need, aside from finding a backup of the real files and not shortcuts, you have to start over and redo your file!

Alright, thank you for your advice! I had copied my files from my Tab 2 to my USB stick!
Unless I look for the files on my Tab 2, will they be recoverable even if I have formatted my Tab 2 (Samsung Galaxy Tab 2)????

  14. sipherion Posted messages 1836 Registration date   Status Member Last intervention   287

Oh no, after formatting you won't be able to recover them... You must always make sure you can exploit the files you've saved before formatting a device.

But before formatting, I had copied and pasted my files onto my USB drive
Then, when I went to school, I needed to work on a folder with my USB drive and that’s when I got a virus and my files turned into shortcuts :/

what an idea to constantly format tablets and USB drives!

run this tool on your tab2, it may be possible to recover them:

    but we'll see ...

I will be absent this afternoon!
Once the scan is finished, I will look for my files if I find them, and I will update you on the situation. That said, this is proving very difficult because at 37% there are already 10,000 files found :/

Otherwise, I found a technique specific to Galaxy Tab, a link that I have been desperately trying to post for a while now, but the CCM bot keeps telling me no!

Normally, the first link is in the first reply.

Transfer the file found on your PC without opening it,

    then upload it to VirusTotal:

    https://www.virustotal.com/gui/

wait for the scan to finish, once the report is generated, copy and paste its link in your next message
