How to switch from Norton to Avast

Hello, my Norton antivirus subscription is coming to an end and I would like to install Avast antivirus and uninstall Norton. I can't remember how to do it. I would be grateful for some help.

    Hello HD20VP Xodo, thank you for your responses. I have Windows 8, and after reading articles about antivirus software, I believe that Bitdefender: Internet Security is the one that would suit me best. I don't have extensive knowledge of all this, so before doing anything, I would like to get your opinion. Thank you for your help.
