Hello everyone, I just got my Galaxy S3 Mini and after spending more than an hour entering all my contacts (because I changed my SIM card), a message says "SIM card modification saved," and when I check my contacts, some have been modified; for example, only half of their first name remains, or letters are missing... So I modified them again and got the same message and the same modifications.
Please help me!
Thanks in advance :)

hi
it seems to me that on some SIM cards you can't enter as many characters as you want, so it will truncate first and last names......but if I have a piece of advice for you, it's to put your contacts on your Gmail account where you can include names, first names, email addresses, etc. for all your contacts, and that way you will never lose them and they will be systematically synced and backed up to your account.....and if one day you change your phone, you just need to import them ...
moreover, if one day for whatever reason you have to reset your phone, they will be automatically restored thanks to your Google account....

Hi,
It is highly likely that you only have a limited number of characters when entering the name.
This means that any extra characters are systematically cut off.
Otherwise, your phone must have a bug.

I don't think the problem comes from the number of characters since some much longer contacts haven't changed and some very short ones have been modified.. I hadn't thought about the Gmail account but that's a great idea!
I'll let you know if I ever find out where this problem comes from!
In any case, thank you very much for your replies!
Have a nice weekend :)

Hello,
have you found a solution? Because I also have contacts that change part of their name, sometimes even lengthening. Other contacts appear by themselves, without me having saved them. I delete them and they come back on their own after a few days, some of my contacts completely disappear.
I don't understand what's happening.
If you have found a solution or if someone can help me, I feel like I'm going crazy.
Thank you.
