Does an LED TV get very hot?

Hello.

Three months ago, I purchased a Samsung 800Hz LED Smart TV 3D Series 7.
I mainly use it for my PS3, PS4, or PS2.

I've noticed that it heats up when I put my hand behind the screen. It's not burning, but it does get warm.

I would like to know if LED TVs are supposed to heat up in the first place? If not, what could be the problem?

Thank you.

Hello, a LED TV consumes less than an LCD or plasma screen, but where there is light, there is heat. Using broadcasts with high variations in brightness and contrast, like music videos that switch from black to white frequently with flashes, increases consumption and can raise the temperature a bit more.
Try it with a regular broadcast like the news.
