Acer M5910 Graphics Card Replacement

Hello everyone!
I would need some information/advice to change my graphics card; I own an Acer M5910 similar to this one:

Except for the graphics card, which was an ATI Radeon HD 5850 ("stock," this is not a modification I made after purchasing it)

I’m looking for a more recent graphics card to run the latest games with good graphics, and I was thinking of buying the GTX 770:

That would require me to change my power supply, which is currently 500W, but that's not an issue. What worries me is whether the card is a bit too power-hungry for my current setup? Will it still work in terms of buses?

And if you have any advice for other cards, I'd be happy to hear it :)

    I have an i7 with a GTX 770 and a 750W power supply. From your PC case, it seems a bit small (it will get hot).
    The GTX 770 is really huge as a GPU.

      It's true that after checking according to the measurements provided on the site, it seems to just fit! By adding a fan (I don't know much about this, I'm not sure if it's actually possible), would that solve the problem?

      My old tower was too small; it was almost like you. To prevent overheating, I changed it, so I decided to switch cases and got a Phantom Full-Sized Tower for $110. I logically had to change the motherboard as well.
      Personally, a tower that's too small is not good; I don't know if it'll make things better.

      It works! Thank you very much for the advice! I will see if I can get another case, but I'm not sure I have the necessary skills to take everything apart and put it back together.
      Otherwise, would you recommend another card more suited to my setup?

      bottom line, in any case, a Nvidia GTX, but after that, the good GPUs all start to have a fairly significant size.

      Well, I think I will opt for an ATI Radeon HD 5970; at least it's from the same brand, so there shouldn't be too many compatibility issues. But will I still need to change the power supply?
      In any case, thank you for these answers; they really help me a lot!
