Move a drawing by copy-pasting

Hello,

When I want to move by copy-pasting (or cut-pasting) a drawing I made in Word 2007 to another page of the text I'm working on, the following problems arise:

1) The drawing does not paste at the place where I need it and where I have placed the cursor, but near the place where I copied (or cut) it.

2) When I try to move it by dragging using the up or down arrow on the keyboard, it is hopelessly slow (especially when the movement to be made is several pages), but the worst part is that the drawing disappears under the next page. Once it has disappeared, I can't retrieve it.

I tried to go through another Word file, but nothing works.

It seems that under the older versions of Word (2000 and 2003) this problem did not arise. What should I do under 2007?

Thank you in advance,
Peter
