Hello,
I bought a Corsair TX750M
and with the power supply, I only have one cable with an 8-pin ATX 12V connector.
On my motherboard, there is a 4-pin ATX 12V connector.
I have no 4-pin ATX cable that came with the power supply?
Are there adapters available for this?
Can I take the 8-pin cable and modify it by using only 4 of the wires from this 8-pin connector?
Where can I find this connector?
Help!!! What should I do?
Thanks
Configuration: Mac OS X Lion (10.7) / Firefox 24.0

Hi, what an idea to buy such a big power supply =) If it's a connector like this one, you generally can't isolate 4 pins out of the 8: http://s3.static69.com/m/image-offre/1/a/1/a/1a1a808cddbba2d34e892540348f29c6-500x500.jpg
On the other hand, if it looks like this, you can separate it into two: http://s3.static69.com/m/image-offre/c/1/8/d/c18d1070e5dfb79a3c1f72fed4caafa1-500x500.jpg
Note that there are extensions that might help you as an adapter if you're stuck: http://www.rueducommerce.fr/Composants/Tuning/Cable-tuning-PC/PHOBYA/MP-96D89M5204217-Rallonge-Alimentation-Cpu-8-broches-vers-4-4-broches-30cm.htm#!moid:MO-96D89M8036848 -
Hello
Even though the 8-pin connector cannot be split, it should still be able to connect to the P4 on the motherboard.
