Configuring a Display for an HDMI Connected Computer

Hello everyone,

I have a recent Philips television. In "Add your devices," I have set it up
to display "HDMI2 Computer" on the home screen.

I also have a Toshiba laptop that I connected to my Philips television using an
HDMI cable.

Someone told me that I need to configure the laptop regarding the display, but I don’t
know much more and I don’t understand what I need to do.

Can someone help me?

Thanks in advance,

JeanMickey

    Hello,

    Very simply:

    - On the TV side: connect the HDMI cable to the port labeled "Computer HDMI2" and select the source (the "channel") to display it

    - On the computer side: under Windows Vista / 7 / 8, the keyboard shortcut Windows + P allows you to switch between display modes

    Kind regards,

      Hello,
Thank you for the response, but I am on Windows XP.
Could you provide another answer with this parameter?

    Hello,

Thank you for your message, which I have printed. I followed all the instructions. Unfortunately, the television screen remains black.

Do you perhaps have another idea?

There might be another setting to adjust on the TV. The person who came to my house and did the setup managed to get both screens working in under a minute. (Unfortunately, I cannot contact them again).

    Anyway, thank you.

What kind of computer is it? Desktop or laptop? What graphics card, Intel, nVidia, AMD / ATI?
