Hello, I would like your opinion on this TV

I will probably order it, as it's the best value for money I have found, do you think I could play on the PS3 without any problem? Because I saw that it has only 20ms.. which is quite high

I have 3 Continental Edison televisions at home... (60, 107, and 140) no issues with these screens. The picture quality is comparable to what LG or Samsung offers... (I also have a 107 cm LG, so I can compare...) Yes, I have a lot of TVs at home... large family...,
the 60 has been around for 5 years, the 107, 4... they run almost all the time, and no problems. So it’s only natural that I chose the same brand for the 140, which I’ve had for 6 months now.

The 140 is a 4K, and I am completely satisfied with the image on the latest Blu-rays or with the programming from HD channels...

As for the numerous malfunctions reported on this forum, I tend to believe that people are much more likely to share their disappointment than their satisfaction... I once had a Sony TV purchased from Darty, which lasted 2 years... a very bad memory...
Bad luck, but I don’t disparage Sony or Darty...

And as for the problems with CDiscount, they are like the others when it comes to managing issues... I’ve been a customer since the beginning and I have no complaints... at least not more than when I buy from Fnac or Darty... One just has to remember that after-sales service for online purchases is always more complicated to manage than that for in-store purchases...
So if one buys this way, they accept the risks... or they abstain...

Hello,

Continental Edison is not really known for its televisions.
It really depends on your usage. Maybe for playing on the PS3.
The resolution of your TV is 1366 x 768, which is HD, not full HD (1080x1920), which is not the same at all. Also, the refresh rate is 50Hz (50 frames per second) -> average

Is it really worth getting a smart TV?

I recommend going for Samsung, Sony, LG, with a higher screen resolution and refresh rate and probably a longer lifespan, by spending an extra €80.

Thank you for your opinion, unfortunately I have a budget of 200€ and this is the only one I find acceptable at that price  --   We still don't learn by ourselves.

I highly discourage the Continental Edison brand for LED TVs. I bought a 48-inch one from Cdiscount, drawn by the price-to-quality ratio. But barely a month into using it, the TV turned off and wouldn't turn back on. I activated the warranty, and the technician came to pick it up for repair. After a few days, Cdiscount fully refunded me the price of the TV in the form of a store credit. They told me that the TV is IRREPARABLE. Apparently, it was the power supply board that had issues, and replacing it would have been a hassle and expensive. So now, I’m going to get a Toshiba, Samsung, Sony, Thomson, Philips, or LG even if it means paying more. The Continental Edison TVs are often manufactured in ... the Czech Republic, and I don't mean to disparage, but no more of that brand in my home. Therefore, I advise all readers not to buy this brand, especially not from Le Bon Coin because without a warranty, it’s risky.

I have the same TV; it's true that it's not as good as the big brands..  But it's still working (1 year) I think it depends on the serial numbers; some break down in no time.

I bought a Continental Edison LED TV in March (so it’s only 8 months old) and it’s already malfunctioning! When I turn it on, I get the picture but no sound, it doesn't respond to the remote, and after 2 minutes, it turns off by itself! This is really crap. Sure, it wasn’t expensive, but it turned out to be too expensive for what it has become!! I strongly advise against it +++!!

I have a 46-inch Continental for a year and no issues with sound or image, I am happy with my purchase. I bought it in France, I am now in Poland and have no problems with it.

I bought this TV at Christmas (2015) and in February it stopped working, it's been at my place since then. Do you think that if I call Cdiscount they will tell me something or will they change it for me? Please answer, it's annoying me since I'll soon have my PS4 (in less than 5 days). Thanks in advance.

Hello, good evening,
on a Continental Edison Led TV 165 D3
I took everything apart, I looked at the circuits, tested the diodes, capacitors: nothing,
I then took apart the power board,
and I could see that the connector (gold under a transparent cover) that should power the screen was poorly plugged in, I plugged it in parallel correctly, put the power board back, tried it: Miracle it works like new ... make sure to check all the connections, a jolt, and the contact plug gets misaligned and does not make contact anymore ...

In short, you’ll understand that if you have to choose between smaller or more expensive, you’re better off with another brand and with a different retailer. For something reasonably priced and decent, I would lean more towards LG, Samsung, or Toshiba. If possible, at Darty, Boulanger, or Auchan, or another retailer with real warranties.

I don't know what you have against Continental Edison, as for me, I have 2 that have been working for years, and 1 for my daughter for 2 years without any issues. All brands have their bad batches, even the more expensive ones; it's just a matter of luck.

I've had mine since March and I have had no issues.
It works day and night.
I am satisfied with Continental Edison.
I paid €189 for mine, and it's 81 cm, just to let you know.
It's not about the price; it all depends on whether it has been damaged during transport or in their warehouse...

For my part, I bought a Continental Editions TV in December 2014 from Cdiscount, and it broke down in January 2016 with no picture, which is one year after the purchase. I contacted Cdiscount, who gave me the phone number for Continental's customer service. They told me to send the TV to them, knowing that the shipping cost would be at my expense, which was 26 euros. I sent it three weeks ago and am still waiting for a response.

99 centimeters television purchased in June 2014 from CDiscount.
The television has just broken down.
I have sound but no picture.

It’s impossible to reach CDiscount to claim the warranty.

Moreover, the picture quality is really mediocre, there are some sort of stains on the screen...

In short, it’s better to spend an additional €100 for a branded product and a smaller screen rather than buying this brand.
