Hi
This is just a classic phishing attempt.... anyway, don't respond and that's it!
As for intervening, there's nothing we can do... here you are on the CCM IT help forum.... not at Microsoft....
By the way, Microsoft, like all other serious sites, never sends out questionnaires like that... and can’t do much (other than warn...) because as soon as one network of crooks is dismantled... ten others are created!
Talk to you later

I received this type of email today 22/10/2013. Is it phishing...?

attention scam for vehicle purchase

HELLO Mr Mrs
I have just become aware of your response and I agree to buy your item in its current condition.
I am from PARIS and since I am currently traveling for my new job (outside of France), I will not have stable time for a possible appointment or a handover. Therefore, I would like to advance you funds initially for its reservation. I will send you a cash mandate via the post that you will receive safely at the nearest post office to your home, trust me as this is secure and quick.
Do not worry, after receiving your full address upon my arrival, we will schedule an appointment at your home for the pickup, or my wife will handle the pickup at your home without any hassle.
So if you agree to this principle please let me know the following information so that I can send you the mandate:
NAME:
FIRST NAME:
HOME ADDRESS:
LANDLINE AND MOBILE PHONE NUMBER:
FINAL PRICE:
so that I can do what is necessary as quickly as planned.
Please remove the ad from the site if it's not too much trouble as I commit to buying it from you.
I tried to contact you as well to talk directly but impossible, so my number is as follows.
Looking forward to a favorable response.
Sincerely
Mr Mrs PALA FRANCK.
PHONE: 00225 03 16 42 32
note: the gentleman is urgent and insistent, payment via cash mandate and refuses cash or bank cheque, and there is a beautiful mistake in his name at the end of the message!
in short... big scam so remember this name, do not sell anything in haste and never opt for a cash mandate (quick) there are too many scams with this payment. -
