Hello. You need to open the IDM installation folder ("C:\Program Files\Internet Download Manager" by default), then drag and drop the "IDMGCExt.crx" file into the "Extensions" page that opens in your Chrome browser.
http://www.internetdownloadmanager.com/register/new_faq/chrome_extension.html if it didn't work, go to Chrome settings, then to advanced settings and uncheck the "Enable phishing and malware protection" box, then reinstall the "IDMGCExt.crx" file into "Extensions" and it will work, then recheck the box for safety reasons.
